Greetings !

Offered here is My Vintage 1965 ALL ORIGINAL Danelectro Shorthorn Bass in Excellent Condition with some Minor Scratches. This is a Collector Grade Vintage Danelectro that Looks, Plays, and Sounds Great ! Truly Classic Danelectro Tone....Kinda like an Upright, but still it's Own Unique Sound.
Details:
Serial Number: 1025 ( 10th Week of 1965 ) Manufactured at the Old Danelectro Plant in Neptune City, New Jersey, USA
Frame: Poplar or Pine
Body Top and Bottom: Masonite
Neck: Poplar
Frets: Jumbo ( As Far as My Dano Research tells Me )
Fretboard: Brazilian Rosewood
Tuners: Closed " Skate-Key " Style
Pickup: Original Vintage Lipstick Tube Pickup
Strings: GHS 3020 Short Scale Flatwounds ( Light Gauge .45 to .95 )
Weight of Bass: Approx. 5 Lbs.

PLEASE NOTE: The Neck is Very Straight Overall but on the "E" String Side Past the 10th Fret there is a Slight Dip Which can Cause Buzz When the Bass is Played with Low Action. I Presently have the Bass Set Up with Low Action but I am a Light Touch and the Buzz is not Audible in Live Play Situations. The Action on the "E" String Side can be taken up by Adjusting the Bridge Height Accordingly. A Fret Crown & Polish May Correct the Dip.
All Electronics Function as The Should.
